    About ROI Calculation

Return on Investment (ROI) is a performance measure used to evaluate the efficiency or profitability of an investment. ROI tries to directly measure the amount of return on a particular investment, relative to the investment's cost.

    How to Calculate ROI

The basic formula for ROI is:

ROI = (Net Profit / Cost of Investment) × 100%

    Where:

    • Net Profit = Final Value - Initial Investment
    • Cost of Investment = Initial Investment

    Annualized ROI

Annualized ROI calculates the annual rate of return that would give you the same total return over the period. The formula is:

    Annualized ROI = ((1 + ROI)^(1/n) - 1) × 100%

    Where:

    • ROI = Return on Investment (as a decimal)
    • n = Number of years

    Using This Calculator

    This calculator offers two modes:

    • Basic ROI: Calculate simple ROI based on initial investment and final value.
    • Advanced ROI: Calculate ROI with yearly cash flows, including revenues and expenses.

The calculator will provide you with the ROI percentage, annualized ROI, and net profit. You can also view your calculation history at the bottom of the page.
